Ohio Jobs Recovery

Ohio’s private sector reached its peak number of jobs in March 2000.  Although Ohio’s economy is recovering from the economic downturn and recession, Ohio is still about 320,000 jobs away from full recovery.  Based on Opportunity Ohio’s projections, Ohio’s most likely recovery date will be June 2020, which means Ohio will have had net zero job growth in 20 years.
